The period known as the Highland Clearances began after the disaster at Culloden.  Most Chiefs lost any parental interest in their clans.  During the next 100 years they finished the work of the English.  The Highlanders were deserted and then betrayed.  Forced out often at the end of a bayonet, or by truncheon and fire.  The only use the Chief had for his people was for any wealth they could earn for him.  They were more concerned for profit than for man.

 

Hence I ask you again....................where did the $19764.55 go to???  Who approved the loan???  How were the expenses itemized??  Does anyone else at Clan MacTavish get their expenses reimbursed??  

 

The Chiefs of the Highland Clearances were more concerned for profit than their clans people.  Hence I give you..................and I will NOT call him the "Honorable"
