What is the definition of a cult???

In traditional usage, the cult of a religion, quite apart from its sacred writings ("scriptures"), its theology or myths, or the personal faith of its believers, is the totality of external religious practice and observance, the neglect of which is the definition of impiety. Cult is literally the "care" owed to the god and the shrine.

A cult, by modern standards, is any group that incorporates mind control to deceive, influence and govern its followers. Although most people think of cults as being religious, they can also be found in political, athletic, philosophical, racial or psychotherapeutic arenas.

Clan MacTavish in it's present form is a CULT.   It does not allow dissention or discussion.  If you disagree you are out!  No If's ands or buts.  The people blindly follow.  The 27th Chief is a reincarnation of the Chiefs that reigned during the clearances that destroyed the clan system.  If you question you are ignored.   Do not question the teachings of Clan MacTavish. The attentions of a cult must be focused on their Leader - The 27th Chief of Clan MacTavish - Steven Edward Dugald MacTavish.  The leader of a cult is usually very self centered and self seeking.   - The leader surrounds himself with only those that blindly follow and worship. 

Hence you can be on the board, but only at the pleasure of the chief.  The Chief can not vote, but he can dismiss any board member at his will.  Any attempt at free speech or free will, will be met with disavowal - Note the Dunardry Heritage Association.
